Tiernan Caulfield is a third-year English major at the University of Virginia. He is from Ashburn, Virginia, and he attended Northern Virginia Community College for two years. There, he created NOVA Filmmaking, a student organization dedicated to connecting and educating students, and established the NOVA Student Film Festival, the first student-led film festival in the history of the college. He led it for two years before transferring to UVA. When he heard that students were interested in beginning a film festival, he was ecstatic to have the opportunity to apply his experience on a larger scale. His favorite film genre is drama and he has a dog named Tailz.
