Ansh Pathapadu is a third-year Computer Science Engineering and Studio Art major with a concentration in filmmaking from Fairfax, Virginia. He formed the film festival committee to create an opportunity for all student filmmakers to show off their work and celebrate each other. He is the Vice President of the Filmmaker’s Society at UVA and has been greatly involved in film since high school. He has won awards, such as the Oniros Film Awards for Best Short Script and Best Student Screenwriter, participated in Overcranked, and completed the Adrenaline filmmaking challenge. His favorite theme to explore is trauma. Alongside cinematography, he has played tennis all his life and went to Nationals with the UVA Club Tennis team last year.
